Initially developed to help ballet dancers recover from injuries faster and prevent further injury, floor barre combines basic ballet technique with Yoga and Pilates to create a strengthening core centered class. Using only body weight in this mat based class you will lengthen and strengthen your muscles and improve the alignment of the body. Wear comfortable clothing, and be prepared to work barefoot in this class that is paced slow enough to allow you to turn your mind inwards and work muscles deeply and intelligently.

Don’t let the name fool you, this mode of exercise is formatted in a way that absolutely any BODY can do it; no matter your age, sex, or body-type. HIIT combines basic movements, new exercises, and a work/rest scenario to maximize fat-loss while toning and strengthening your body overall. Focusing on proper form for the duration of the work cycle you will learn the proper way to strengthen your muscles while maintaining alignment in your body. These routines will not only improve your oxygen consumption, strengthen your heart, and increase your body’s production of fat-loss hormones, but also leave your metabolism unable to adapt to the ever changing routines; making any “fat-loss plateau” disappear. This class will improve not only your mood and motivation but also energy levels and physique.

By combining methods of Yoga, Pilates, and basic core strengthening movements this dynamic class will strengthen and tone your body while improving flexibility. A wonderful class for anyBODY who is hoping to relax, focus, and challenge their bodies. With a variety of modifications this class can be as challenging or relaxing as you choose to make it. FloYo focuses on bettering your body while empowering you to be a more health conscious version of yourself.

PiYo combines the muscle-sculpting,core-firming benefits of Pilates with the strength and flexibility advantages of yoga. We crank it up with speed to deliver a true fat-burning, low-impact workout that leaves your body looking long, lean and incredibly defined. PiYo works for every age and fitness level. There are modifications and advanced moves as well. Always ways to advance or pull back. Great for joints and flexibility, with a base of core strengthening and building!

So bring a yoga mat, a water bottle and your smile and let’s PiYo!!!
